Level 2 and Level 3 Charging, Both from the Same Source
A 3-phase panel board distributing to 240Vac outputs typically supports just level 2 charging – but with Pii’s
power-agnostic power level 3 chargers, fleet managers can pull 3-phase 240Vac, high-leg delta, or single-phase power out of the same panel board supporting level 2 chargers and power – without derating – to a Pii level 3 charger.
Why does this matter?
1
L2 AND L3 POWER FROM JUST ONE POWER SOURCE
The time to choose between L2 and L3 charging at a site for your fleets is a thing of the past. With Pii’s power-agnostic level 3 chargers, you can mix and match the power outputs you need, all based on what power you have on-site.
2
LOWERED PERMITTING AND INSTALLATION COSTS
Many older or rural sites around America will require expensive permitting and time-consuming infrastructural upgrades to upfit the site for L3 charging. Pii is ready to help you save on those costs with our chargers, providing up to 50 kW of output on virtually any standard American electrical input.

“PLUG AND PLAY” IS FINALLY HERE FOR L3 CHARGING
By accepting 240 Vac single-phase power, 208/240 Vac 3-phase Delta, 480 Vac 3-phase Wye, and high-leg delta – without derating – Pii’s chargers allow fleet operators to get DC fast charging to their sites in a small, clean, easy-to-install footprint.
Up to 50 kW of DC Fast Charging, Using Single-Phase Power
Almost all DC fast chargers are designed for three-phase AC input, and most attempts in the industry to get around the “need” for three-phase power will lead to space-consuming step-up transformers, additional permitting costs, and even derating the charger.
Power Innovations International’s line of DC fast chargers are input agnostic, meaning that our products can accept 240 Vac single-phase power, 208/240 Vac 3-phase Delta, and 480 Vac 3-phase Wye – all in a single SKU. This means a simplified customer journey, from product purchasing to installation and commissioning.

Meet Your Fleet Charging Needs, Even with Single-Phase Power
It’s often easy enough to get single-phase power to a site that’s operating level 2 EV charging stations, but mixing and matching level 2 charging infrastructure with level 3 DC fast chargers can result in expensive infrastructure. Many fleet operators would love to leverage the speed of level 3 EV charging but lack the ability to get anything other than single-phase power to their sites.
Power Innovations International’s level 3 DC chargers have changed what is possible for EV fleet managers: with our chargers, a single site – running on
240 VAC single-phase or 240 VAC three-phase power – can power both level 2 and level 3 chargers. Our level 3 chargers provide up to 60 kW of output running off of single-phase power, with no derating, no step-up transformers, and no expensive and time-consuming permitting.
Single-Phase Power Possible with Pii’s Field Configurable Busbars
Field Configurable Busbars
Pii chargers come with a series of busbars, allowing operators to match the charger to the site power in minutes. Whether you have 480 Wye, 240 Delta, or single-phase power, our chargers can be matched to your site’s infrastructure in almost no time.
Mobile and Pedestal Units
Whether you need a model exclusively for indoor use, a NEMA 4-rated outdoor mobile model, or a pedestal-mounted unit for your fleet, Pii has the design you need for your next site. Our DC fast chargers can supplement level 2 charging for fleet applications, providing charging for behind-fence internal use or customer-facing applications.
cETLus-Listed
All of our mobile and pedestal units are cETLus listed to UL 2202, UL2231-1 & -2, and CSA C22.2 No. 281.1, 281.2 and 346.

Most level 3 DC fast chargers will require dedicated three-phase utility service, but Pii’s chargers deliver up to 50 kW of output from single-phase 240 VAC branch circuits or directly from a 240 VAC three-phase delta feed: no site redsign or duplication of equipment required.
