Gary Straker is the President of Power Innovations International (Pii), located in Utah, a designer and manufacturer of a growing range of fast DC EV chargers & Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) and components with unique capabilities in the market. With more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in the semiconductor industry, Gary joined Pii in 2024, inspired by its unique approach to solving issues in the EV charging industry around power conversion and the growing opportunities for Pii’s technology in micro-grids.

Prior to Pii, Gary built up extensive business development experience leading internationally located cross-functional management teams that have developed industry-leading technologies and successfully launched products on a global scale. During his career, Mr. Straker has held management positions at companies in Europe, Asia, and the USA from early-stage start-ups to large global organizations.

As a leader in the EV charging space, Gary is excited to contribute directly to the green economy by supporting the transition to vehicle electrification through products designed, built, and serviced in the U.S.

Kaya Yu is the Senior Controller of Power Innovations International (Pii), overseeing the accounting and financing operations of the company. She is a Certified Public Accountant and an active member of the MACPA. She has been working in both public and private sectors over the years. With over a decade of experience at LITEON Group, a Taiwan-based international company, she has gained invaluable exposure to multinational cultures and accumulated tremendous experience in both operations and finance. She played a pivotal role in managing a multi-billion dollar business unit as the lead Business Analyst before joining Pii.

Having worked as a senior manager in an incubating company for 7 years, Kaya knows entrepreneurial leadership is a key to the success of Pii. She is excited to be a part of this great team.

Nick Stone manages marketing, product, and business development for Power Innovations International (Pii), a global provider of electrical power management systems and services. On Pii’s EV charging product line, Nick supports many of Pii's campaigns, including ones around (a) their ability to offer Level 3 charging without 480 volts of input and (b) how Pii’s EV chargers are the only ones in the industry that are vertically integrated from conversion to final assembly. He also leads business development to explore innovation opportunities for additional applications for EV Charging as well as applications for inverters.

Nick brings 14 years of experience from Eaton Corporation, where he was a global product manager in the circuit protection division and also led Operations Improvement strategies. He has spent his entire career in the electrical industry, and Nick earned a BS in industrial engineering from Purdue and an MBA from Saint Louis University.

Tammy Mitchell manages Operations at Power Innovations International (Pii), a Utah-based leader in the design and manufacture of advanced fast DC electric vehicle (EV) charging systems and Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS). Known for its innovation and specialized capabilities, Pii is rapidly expanding its presence in critical power infrastructure and clean energy technologies.

Tammy brings more than two decades of multifaceted leadership experience across global operations, engineering development, IT, and compliance. Her career spans both the public and private sectors, with past roles at prominent organizations including Novell, Affiliated Computer Services (a Xerox company), Code Corporation (Brady Corporation), and General Atomics’ Aeronautical division. Throughout her career, she has successfully led cross-functional teams and high-impact initiatives around the globe, known for her ability to streamline complex operations, implement scalable systems, and foster collaborative work environments.

At Pii, Tammy is a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing strategic operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support the company’s aggressive growth and innovation goals. She is especially passionate about leveraging automation, data-driven decision-making, and team empowerment to optimize performance and deliver measurable results. A long-time Utah resident, Tammy has lived and worked in the state for over 20 years. She studied at Utah Valley University and takes great pride in contributing to the success of one of Utah’s leading technology and manufacturing companies from its headquarters in American Fork.

Tim Rees is a seasoned sales professional with a strong background in Power Conversion and Electronic component sales for 25 + years. Known for his rigorous follow-through and results-driven approach, Tim has consistently demonstrated expertise in driving sales and building client relationships. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys golfing and skiing

Tim Rees is a dynamic and results-oriented sales executive with over two decades of experience in the electronics and power solutions industries. Currently serving as the Sales Director for EV Charging at Power Innovations International, Tim leads business development efforts for cutting-edge DC fast charging technology—specializing in solutions that operate without the need for 480V 3-phase AC power. His expertise spans distributor management, strategic partnerships, and scaling sales operations across diverse markets including EV infrastructure, industrial power systems, and renewable energy applications.

Prior to his current role, Tim held leadership positions at prominent companies such as Bel Power Solutions and CUI Inc, where he developed a track record of delivering sustained revenue growth and cultivating long-term client relationships. He is highly regarded for his consultative sales approach, ability to identify emerging market opportunities, and commitment to providing value-added solutions tailored to customer needs.

Outside of work, Tim is passionate about the outdoors and enjoys spending his free time golfing and skiing. Whether on the slopes or the fairway, he brings the same drive and precision to his hobbies as he does to his professional life.

Todd Martin is a seasoned Human Resources leader with over a decade of experience driving strategic HR initiatives across diverse industries, including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and e-commerce. Known for his ability to align people strategies with business goals, Todd has successfully partnered with C-level executives and operational leaders to lead workforce expansions, implement HRIS systems, and strengthen organizational culture. Currently serving as HR Manager at Power Innovations International (Pii), he has played a pivotal role in scaling the company from 22 to 90 employees and transforming its talent infrastructure. Prior to this, he held HR leadership roles at Amazon, RC Willey, and Kane Hall Barry Neurology, where he delivered impactful results in employee retention, performance management, and compliance.

Todd holds an MBA from Western Governors University and a BS in Business Management from Utah Valley University. He is SHRM-CP certified and brings a deep commitment to continuous improvement, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Todd currently resides in Saratoga Springs, Utah, where he lives with his wife and 4 children.
