Moving to a Zero Carbon Renewable Hydrogen Economy

On March 25, 2020, Utah House Representative Melissa Ballard, Utah Inland Port Authority Executive Director Jack Hedge, and Power Innovations’ CEO Robert Mount will host The Utah & Western Region Hydrogen Forum 2020 at Power Innovations headquarters in American Fork, Utah. Presenters will include Lieutenant Governor of Utah Spencer Cox, Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall, US Department of Energy, AIChE Center for Hydrogen Safety, Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Energy Association, Linde, General Motors, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Utah Clean Cities Coalition, and more.

We are on the verge of a hydrogen revolution. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe. It is a perfect ‘green fuel’ because it is non-polluting, with water as its only by-product. Fuel cells are a clean, reliable, and a high-quality energy source.

“Fuel cell and hydrogen technologies are both transformative and innovative. Our industry is capable of growing the economy, with the potential to employ hundreds of thousands of workers in a new green collar manufacturing economy. Hydrogen can enable our national security as it can be produced solely from domestic resources, limiting our reliance on foreign oil.” said Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Energy Association (FCHEA) President Morry Markowitz, who will be speaking at the event.

Registration for the Utah & Western Region Hydrogen Forum 2020 is open to the general public; however, an RSVP is required. A free lunch will be provided for all attendees, as well as the opportunity to see fuel cells in action. The event will be held from 8:00am – 6:00pm on March 25, 2020. Visit the Power Innovations Website to RSVP for the event.

Co-hosts for the event are Power Innovations and the State of Utah. The State of Utah is leading the way towards a green sustainable future. Power Innovations has earned its reputation as a renewable energy technology leader.
