- Shipboard Applications
- Remote Locations
Product description
The Q-RX-Z2 is a rack-mountable system designed for installation in a Zone 1 or Zone 2 compliant hazardous environment container. The Q-RX-Z2 is programmed to disconnect power in a pre-determined sequence based on natural gas, loss of power, or other sensors.
The Q-RX-Z2 is a ruggedized rack-mount Uninterruptible Power Quality™ (UPQ™) system that provides superior power conditioning and uninterruptible power output for critical applications. The UPQ isolates and conditions the input power through five (5) stages to remove any noise or interference and produce a high-resolution sine-wave output signal. Included batteries (1500 only) or external battery modules provide backup power in the event of an interruption of input power. The Q-RX has been ruggedized to withstand extreme shock, vibration, temperature, and humidity.
The Q-RX is a double-conversion online uninterruptible power supply that includes five stages of isolation and conditioning to provide the high-quality power required by high-tech equipment.
High-Resolution Sine-Wave Output
Unlike many other small UPS systems, the Q-RX uses pulse-width modulation technology to create high-resolution sine-wave AC power output. This makes the UPQ more efficient and provides the best quality power to the load.
International Compatibility
The Q-RX can be customized with Nema 5-15 or IEC-320 outlets and can accept AC input power at 120 or 240 Volts and 50 or 60 Hz.
Expandable Backup Time
The Q-RX allows the connection of one or more external battery modules to provide as much battery backup time as the application requires.
Remote Monitoring
The Q-RX can be connected to a UPQnet-agent remote monitoring system.
Vibration and Shock Testing
Q-RX systems meet or exceed MIL-STD-167 for shipboard vibration over a range exceeding 4-50 Hz. The vibration tests, both operational and non-operational, deliver up to 2G forces for 2-4 hours. Q-RX systems meet or exceed MIL-STD-810E for shock. In each axis, multiple positive and negative shocks are applied up to 30G forces.
Thermal and Humidity Testing
Q-RX systems meet or exceed MIL-STD-810 for temperature, thermal shock, and condensing humidity from -30°C (-22°F) to 60°C (140°F), both operationally and non-operationally.
Q-RX-Z2™ (ATEX Directive 99/92/EC Certified)
The Q-RX-Z2™ is designed for enclosures that are compliant with the ATEX Directive 99/92/EC. The Q-RX-Z2 has all the features of the Q-RX and meets the Zone2 requirements and regulations for potentially explosive environments.
